In business since 1992, Valerie Burton owner of Baltimore Happy Kids Child Care Center is licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education. Valerie and her staff are all CPR, First Aid, AED, and SIDS certified.
Valerie is a certified instructor under the guidelines and training of the American Heart Association, accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), certified as a Maryland Excel’s Quality Rated Program participant, and a member in good standing with the National Association for the Education Of Young Children (NAEYC), the National Association Family Childcare (NAFCC), and it’s affiliates.
Valerie has 23 years of childcare experience and is preschool, infant, toddler, and school-aged certified. She holds a Director's Certificate and an MSDE Excels credentialed level 4 (pending level 5).
In February 2015, Valerie had a level one quality assurance rating with the Maryland State Department of Education for early childhood learning development. In April 2015 she attained a level two rating and in May 2015 she attained a level 3 rating. Her goal is to continue self-improvement so that she can teach and improve many children's lives to prepare them for kindergarten or private school. Baltimore Happy Kids Child Care Center's mission is to provide each child with a safe, loving, nurturing and motherly environment. Our primary goal is to provide a solid foundation for each child by instilling confidence and a love of learning that will allow them to achieve a happy and prosperous life.
